Open Board Positions

• Cultural Arts/Field Trip Co-Coordinator: Do you love bringing learning to life? We’re looking for a Cultural Arts/Field Trip Co-Coordinator to help research and schedule engaging activities for student enrichment. This role supports the VP of School Initiatives and works directly with an MPE staff member to plan memorable experiences beyond the classroom.

• Drama Club Production Coordinator: Are you organized and enjoy working behind the scenes? We’re looking for a Drama Club Production Coordinator to support our annual production! This role assists the Producer in coordinating rehearsals, callbacks, and practices—plus handling key communications leading up to the big performance. No theater experience required—just a love for organization and helping our young performers shine! Be part of the magic and make next year’s show unforgettable.

• Fall Family Fun Night: Do you enjoy planning a fun community event? We’re looking for a Fall Family Fun Night Coordinator to help organize one of MPE’s favorite traditions! This role supports the VP of PTA Initiatives by booking vendors, coordinating pre-order meals, and ensuring concessions run smoothly—so families can sit back and enjoy the movie.

• Mustang Flyer: Are you a great communicator or enjoy keeping others in the loop? We’re looking for 2 team members to help with the Mustang Flyer, MPE’s weekly newsletter that shares key updates, important dates, and upcoming events with our school community. You’ll support the VP of Communications, work with a team to review update requests, draft and edit weekly communications, and ensure families stay connected. No experience required—completely from home!

• Open House Co-Leader: Help us make Open House a great experience for parents and students! We need 2 leaders to ensure everything runs smoothly by planning with school admin during July and executing the event day-of.

​

• School Supply Boxes: Help MPE earn money while helping families order school supplies stress-free! We're using a new school supply box vendor this summer to deliver school supplies directly to the school instead of people's houses. Communicate with the vendor to organize the boxes by grade level at school.

• Science Lab Co-Leader: Do you love science or want to help students discover the wonders of learning? We are looking for 2 leaders to assist in organizing the monthly Science Labs. All lab instructions are clearly written out. No experience required, just a passion for hands-on learning! Help ignite curiosity and inspire young minds.

• Spring Fling: Do you enjoy bringing families together for a day of fun? We’re looking for a Spring Fling Coordinator to help organize one of MPE’s most exciting events! This role supports the VP of PTA Initiatives by booking vendors for bounce houses, concessions, games, and extra activities to create an unforgettable experience for our school community.

 

• Winter Fest Leader Shadow: Winter Fest is held in December and is PTA's biggest fundraiser. This is our current Chair's last year so we would like a shadow this year to learn the process and take over leading in 2026.

• Winter Fest Ticket Sales: Do you enjoy behind-the-scenes work that makes a big impact? We’re looking for a detail-oriented helper to assist with Winter Fest Ticket Sales in the three weeks leading up to our annual fundraiser. This role supports the Winter Fest Chair by printing pre-paid ticket labels—all from the comfort of your home!
