Volunteer
Our amazing volunteers are truly what keep our school’s PTA programming thriving!
We welcome parents, guardians, older siblings, and other trusted loved ones to come and help us out when we have a need! Volunteering is a wonderful way to meet new families and your kid’s classmates, catch up with familiar faces, and personally invest in our community.
Volunteering Opportunities range from single event length commitments to regular and on-going options. We have leadership roles, many hands make for light work roles, and behind the scenes roles that keep everything moving in the right direction.
All PTA Volunteers who will be in the school setting during school hours MUST complete the required training from Fulton County Schools HERE.
Our Checkmate system will not let you sign into the school without your photo ID and the completed training.
Opportunities to volunteer are on the PTA Calendar. If there are volunteers needed, a sign up link will be shown once you click on the event on the calendar! The sign up link may also be e-mailed out to our volunteer database, come from Room Parents, and may be in the Mustang flyer in the weeks before these events.

How Do I
Become a
Volunteer?
Please note all school volunteers must register on the Fulton County Schools Department of Safety & Security website. Fulton County Schools have a plan in place to purge all volunteers on a bi-annual basis (every 2 years). The latest 2-year period expired in May of 2024, so volunteers will need to register again for the June 2024 through May 2026 period.
How do I become a volunteer at MPE?
1. Visit the FCS volunteer site at the link to the right
2. Complete the FCS volunteer registration process
3. Visit MPE and check in with your photo ID at the front desk computer
